Nele Blaton – Owner and Manager
Born and raised in Belgium, Nele moved to Canada upon graduating with a Masters of Physical Education, Sports and Movement Science. Her motto is “move and be free”. Nele has travelled extensively and explored over 50 countries. Speaking 7 languages she has no problem communicating with people from all over the world. Since a teenager Nele has been fascinated by Brazilian music, especially Bossa Nova and started learning the language. Nele learned Samba from a Brazilian in Vancouver and performed in numerous shows and parades including the famous Rio Carnaval. Her dream of living in a warm place on the coast in nature came true when she moved to Itacaré in 2009. In 2010 she bought Pousada Makaia, and after extensive renovations Tãnara was born.
